Cathey Cotten, CEO

Cathey began her first startup company, MetaSearch in 1994 and launched the MetaSearch Agents, her cutting edge software program which links to various databases in order to speedily search out potential matches within a broad range of high technology industries and was one of the first recruiters to deliver resumes to clients on-line in password protected client sites.

The July 1997 issue of Inc. Magazine quoted Cathey and mentioned her highly respected methodology. She has hired and trained a team of people who consistently place candidates into long-term positions with a myriad of different types of high technology companies. Prior to founding her new venture, Career Knowledge Systems, Cathey personally specialized in the recruitment of candidates in the database marketplace.

Prior to founding MetaSearch, Cathey worked for ten years in the world of investment banking in research, consumer products, retail and, finally, technology. It was in the technology area that Cathey found her passion.

Having played many roles in her life, Cathey is also an accomplished singer, songwriter, and landscape designer. Cathey studied Music Theory at the University of California at Los Angeles and Long Beach State University.
